I grew up in New England, so Fall meant the leaves changing colors, cooler temperatures and apple everything: apple picking, fresh-pressed apple cider, and (my favorite) apple cider donuts. Every year right about this time, I get a little homesick for a New England autumn, but then I remind myself that at least I don't have to deal with a New England winter. I've discovered that I can find a little taste of home within a 90 mile drive from Santa Clarita with farms that let you pick your own apples, press your own cider, and few that even have my beloved apple cider donuts.
