What the Truck Experience Review

What's Up SCV Hosts Weekly Food Truck Event

By Food choices even for the pickiest eaters! March 19, 2022

It's towards the end of another week. It's your turn to make dinner. It's been long week and take-out is on the menu, that's been decided but where to go? With so many different tastes in your household, you don't want to pick up from different places. So now what?! That's what makes What the Truck to perfect pit-stop for the entire gang.

Every Thursday, What the Truck hosts a rotating list of food trucks and vendors sure to make even the pickiest of eaters happy. From burgers and fries, to pasta, to tacos, to Asian-inspired creations, and did I mention dessert? This past Thursday, I loaded up the Odyssey and we headed to What the Truck. My 7-year-old selected a cheeseburger from Heavy Handed where they also cook their fries in beef tallow! Shake Ramen, ramen in a cup, was my teens choice. The cup is layered with ramen noodles, broth, and your choice of toppings in a cup that your shake to combine all of the ingredients before you gobble it all down. My adult son ordered a brat dog and fries from Berlin. I went for my usual torta de birria from El Patron but not before The Classic (fresh hand-cut fries, Wisconsin white cheddar curds, homemade brown gravy and fresh chives) from Poutine Brothers. We weren't quite done yet! We picked up various pastries from Sweet LA Bakery and my little one had to have his water ice from Happy Ice before we headed on home with content bellies.

So if the family is looking for a one-stop shop for dinner I would suggest to head on over to What the Truck located, in the Higher Vision Church parking lot, at 28776 The Old Road in Valencia. Well see you there!
