Fun and educational bird walks for all levels of birders. Bring binoculars, water, and field guide. Saturday, July 1.
2. 🎨 Flutterby Open Art Studio at Artree Community Arts Center
This open art studio is held every first Saturday of the month. Families get to work and create together - different arts projects are available. Registration required for each family member attending. Saturday, July 1.
3. 👩🏽💻 Apple Camp: Design Your Dream Inventions on iPad
Using iPad and Apple Pencil, we’ll work together to develop ideas that improve our neighborhoods. Then, we’ll turn them into trading card–style GIFs using Keynote and Freeform. Saturday, July 1.
4. 🌿 Family Nature Walk @ Placerita Nature Center
An easy 1-hour walk exploring the area’s natural and cultural history. Saturday, July 1.
5. 🎶 Music Lab for Kids: Making a Theme Song
Create a theme song for your favorite show, book, or game using GarageBand on iPad. Saturday, July 1.
6. Vasquez Rocks Twilight Hikes
Explore the park during the magical twilight and early event full moon hours! These 90-minute hikes are led by trained staff and volunteers and will highlight the park's amazing natural and human histories. Pre-registration required for each hike, space is limited. There is currently a waitlist. Saturday, July 1.
7. Halfway to Home: Petco Meet and Greet
Halfway to Home is a nonprofit, no-kill, dog rescue that is devoted to finding the best furever homes for our dogs. Join Halfway to Home at the Santa Clarita Petco for free family fun with furry friends. Sunday, July 2.
8. 🎨 Nest: Healing Art Open Studio
Nest is a free program consisting of an an hour of mindful, judgement-free art making. Registration required. Sunday, July 2.
